Motivation Initiatives and Egress Youth Diversion is an EMI Project. Egress Youth Diversion is a Behavioral Health Project with education and activities to help our participants understand their behavior and develop the skills to change for the better. Our goal is to use self actualization, to build self esteem that will allow them to forgive themselves, and thereby others producing a happier more fulfilling life and future.

Our mission is to decrease recidivism, stigmatization, and the costs associated with the criminal justice system that affect Black youth in the Albuquerque community at a disproportionate rate​.The EMI Egress Youth Diversion project will help participants remain with their families, receive self-actualization resources, and find educational enrichment through EMI services. Providing opportunities for youth vocational progression is key to reducing the risks of joblessness that comes with youth incarceration and poverty. Our goal is to support the entire family of our youth participants in the same ways, lifting the entire family.
